“All at once an angel touched him and said, ‘Get up and eat.’” (1 Kings 19:5b NIV)
After his greatest ministry victory, Elijah collapsed in the wilderness and asked God to take his life. God’s first move was not a sermon or a strategy. It was food. Then sleep. Then more food. God knows what depleted leaders actually need.
If you are running on fumes, you are not weak. You are human, and God is gentle. The mission is too important to outsource your sustainability to next quarter. Let Him feed you first.
Prayer
Lord, You fed Your prophet before You sent him. Feed me. Restore body, mind, and soul, so the work I do for You runs on what You actually supply. Amen.
