Scripture
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 NIV)
Jeremiah wrote these words in the rubble of Jerusalem. Everything he had trusted was gone. And still he wrote that God’s mercies were new every morning. Not a memory. Not a relic. New this morning. New again tomorrow.
You are not running on borrowed faithfulness. You are running on a mercy that arrived fresh today. Whatever yesterday held, this morning has its own grace from God’s own hand.
Prayer
Faithful God, thank You for mercies new this morning. We refuse to live on yesterday’s faith. Lead us into the work in front of us—fresh. Amen.
