The mission of the Church has not changed. Jesus still calls His followers to make disciples, love their neighbors, and proclaim the Good News. Yet in the midst of managing ministries, maintaining buildings, and navigating daily responsibilities, it is easy for churches to lose sight of why they exist in the first place.
When churches are clear about their mission, decisions become easier. Priorities become clearer. Resources are aligned more effectively. Most importantly, people begin to see how their lives connect to God’s work in the world.
Unfortunately, many congregations spend more time discussing internal concerns than external mission opportunities. We focus on what is happening inside the church while overlooking what is happening in the community around us that we say we want to reach.
We believe communities without Christ deserve our attention. We believe churches are at their best when they are actively participating in God’s mission. We believe healthy churches create healthy communities because they help people encounter the hope and transforming power of the Gospel.
That is one of the reasons the Momentum Unfiltered podcast was created.
Every episode will explore what it means to be a mission-focused church in today’s world. We will discuss practical strategies, share stories of churches making a difference, and explore how leaders can help their congregations move from maintenance to mission.
If mission matters, then these conversations matter.
We invite you to join us beginning July 7.
