Scripture
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14 NIV)
Pharaoh’s chariots were closing in. Israel had no path forward and no way back. Then Moses said it: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” The sea did not part until they stopped running.
If you feel pressure to move and cannot see the way, you have not failed. You may simply be in the moment right before the path opens. God is not slow. He is working in the silence.
Prayer
Lord, You opened the sea after Your people stopped retreating. Steady us when we cannot yet see the way. Fight for us while we wait. Amen.
