Scripture
“And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined.” (Mark 2:22a NIV)
Jesus did not condemn old wineskins. He simply named what they could and could not hold. Some structures in your church were built for a reason and still serve well. Others may be ready to be rebuilt for what God is pouring now.
This is not failure. It is wisdom. Honor what was. Trust God to give you the right skin for what He is doing next.
Prayer
Lord, give us wisdom to tell apart what You commanded from what we chose. Pour the new wine. Give us the right skin to hold it. Amen.
