Scripture

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)

The good works were planned before you arrived at this season. They are not waiting for you to feel capable. They are waiting for you to walk into them. The Greek word translated “handiwork” is poiema, the word that gives us “poem.” You are a poem God is still composing.

Your best work may not be behind you. It may be the work God is currently walking you into. He is not finished with you.

Prayer

Father, You prepared good works in advance for us. Open our eyes to the next stanza of the poem You are still writing through this church and through us. Amen.
