Scripture

“Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.” (Revelation 2:4-5a NIV)

If the calendar is full but the heart feels faint, you are not alone. Even Ephesus, commended for hard work and endurance, heard Jesus name the one thing missing. He did not call them to work harder. He called them to remember the love that started it all.

Activity is not the same as momentum. A wheel can spin fast and travel nowhere. The mission has always run on love for Jesus and love for the people He sends us to. That love can be recovered. He has not given up on the Church or on you.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, restore what has cooled in us. Reignite the love that started this work, so our days run on Your fire and not just on our effort. Amen.
